Neighbourhood Plan
Welwyn Parish Council are seeking the views of residents and businesses within the Parish
as to whether our community should establish a Neighbourhood Plan.
What is a Neighbourhood Development Plan?
An NDP is a community-led framework for guiding the future development and growth of an area.
It may contain a vision, aims, planning policies, proposals for improving the area or providing new facilities,
or allocation of key sites for specific kinds of development. Neighbourhood plans relate to the use
and development of land and associated social, economic and environmental issues.
It may deal with a wide range of issues (like housing, employment, heritage and transport)
or it may focus on one or two issues that are of particular importance in a local area.

Why do we need one?
Well If we do not have a Neighbourhood Plan, we the local residents will have less say in the way our community
is developed in the future. It will be left to other authorities and developers to determine what happens in the village.
So IT IS IMPORTANT to participate in the survey - The first part of the development of the plan by our Parish Council.
Every house has now had a delivery of a paper copy of the survey but you can also complete it online:https://forms.gle/oH37vUJYr9uDE2KEA
